Having a Brand Image (that is recognizable) using things
like websites, YouTube, Digipacks etc to promote their music.
Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Official Video)
The video contains what you would expect to have in it from the look of daft punk with their robotic hats and metallic outfits, techno look that has come to be expected is maintained because that is there image. The video has that "retro" feel to it through the colouring of the video - this could be because of daft punks cult following of fans who were all about that "real" way of playing music on records (which of course are seen as retro). And of course still the classic techno sounds.
Mystery Jets
The album is called Radlands and contains a classic four man band, dressed in pretty American attire - cowboy boots, button down with threaded designs on the front (like a Texan) and faded film like over exposure to the photo like it was taken in the dusty dessert of Texas - or somewhere in the middle of America - this could also be assumed as the two main characters of the band in the foreground are seen to fill the middle of the USA silhouette.
In this music video for the Mystery Jets song Someone Purer. The video contains the look that is to be expected from the analysis of the album cover, it is filmed in a dessert that can be perceived to be on American soil, the men are all dressed in an American way, the singer even has the same shirt on. The video has been made to look like film or it actually is film (doubtful) which gives it that more retro look and feel just like the film like aspect of the photo on the album cover.
The tour for that album contains the same colouring and look to it, the typography crosses over to this poster from the album cover, the film like look with sepia tones of the photo is the same as the colouring and look of the album and the video. The continuity in all the bands media is used to set up their music video.
